This past week the Ad agency that I am a part of worked on some of the production of a new Volvo car commercial that we are doing for a dealership in Tuscaloosa, AL. I had a 5D with me so I took the opportunity to snag this sweet shot from the front of the car.

Jean Paul Photo Shoot

Jan. 8 2009
Jean Paul contacted me a few weeks ago to take a few shots for his website. He wanted a stylized dramatic looking picture. After discussing with him, I decided to go with a black backdrop with hard lighting to accomplish this. Jean Paul did a great job with the photo shoot. He was very easy to work with: relaxed, willing to get out of his comfort zone. The shoot went very smooth. We ended up shooting three locations overall.

Allen Photo Shoot

This is actually one of my first photo shoots. Allen Tidmore agreed to be the guinea pig. So away I went in a bedroom with a white sheet, little to no lighting, and an attempt to produce something fun.

Andy Davis @ Pour Cafe

A few years back when I worked at a video production company we did a 4 camera video shoot of Andy Davis playing at Pour Cafe. It was a blast. I recorded the audio and edited the final version of the video. Andy Davis is a phenomenal song writer and it was such a fun night. I loved the way this turned and the best thing about it was that it was done on $0 budget. It’s amazing what you will do when you have a passion for what you are doing. This is the promotion version of the video which is about an 8 minutes long. The full version is about an hour long.

Jamey Hamm Photo Shoot
On 18, Jan 2009 | No Comments | In Photography | By Chase Bowers
Jamey Hamm, one of my best friends, had flown in T-town for a few days. Like we usually do, a few our friends all went to eat. We had semi-planned to take a few pictures of Jamey since he was down here, but after lunch he received a call from his family and he was going to have to cut our hang out time short. I assured him we could get a few shots off. They might be the best but it would be fun to try. We headed to a dull business office, set up a few lights and a black back drop and, to our surprise, the shots turned out great.

Obsession Music Video
On 25, Jan 2007 | One Comment | In Video | By Chase Bowers
Jamey Hamm, before he went to New York, agreed to shoot a music video for his newly released song “Obsession”. The video was directed by Wes Pate of www.wupate.com and edited by Chase Bowers. The shoot was a blast. We did this on absolutely no budget. It was shot with a Panasonic DVX-100b, a 12 foot jib, and some friends of ours as the actors. The girl bass player and the guitar player were even actors. My favorite part of the whole shoot was setting up the whole band on the ancient Native American burial grounds in the town of Moundville, AL. If you haven’t heard of this place, you should definitely check it out. It’s the closest thing that Alabama has to the Pyramids of Egypt!
